Die Cutting
A die is a specialised tool used in print and manufacturing industries to cut, shape and form a wide variety of products and components.

Like moulds and templates, dies are generally customised and can be matched to whatever shape is required.
Common examples of die cut items include boxes, paper products and flat plastic pieces which can be snapped together. Die cutting is used to produce flat objects which can subsequently be folded in to the desired shape. For more complex, dimensional shapes, other manufacturing techniques such as molds may need to employed.
